A university group project undertaken to promote a cultural event in Winchester, honouring the memory of iconic Author Jane Austen – 100 years after her death.
An in-depth research process underpinned this campaign, which acted as a multi-sensory trail promoting the event using each element of the marketing communication mix. The presentation of the campaign ‘A Sense of Jane’ can be found below, which was pitched to the event organiser.

Hi Tobie,
How come you always have such catchy titles?? Great stuff.
Looking at the point you make about open access allowing the dissemination of information to developing countries – I agree, this is a great benefit. However, let’s extend this idea a little bit more so bear with me…
Theoretically, say that these developing countries, like India, grow and become developed countries because of open access. However they are still developmentally behind developed countries, like the USA. Because of this gap, the USA will never be able to benefit from India so it is very much a one way street and India continues to grow and benefit its own economy. Is this fair???? Is this a potential downside to Open Access???
Would be great to hear your thoughts on this (I hope it makes sense, let me know if it doesn’t).
Allie
